My Biography

I was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on April 28, 1981 and grew up in Merrill, WI. I went to pre-school at Parkside and elementary at Jefferson. When I was 7 we moved to Columbus, Georgia because my dad got a job at AFLAC. I graduated on May 29th, 1999 from Pacelli Catholic High School. I then entered my freshman year at Columbus State University, majoring in Psychology. One of my goals in life was and is to be a Psychologist. After my freshman year, I decided to transfer to Columbus Technical College to study Computer Science. As soon as their Web Design program began, I enrolled in it so I could fulfill what I thought was my destiny. I wanted to run my own Web Design business. However, in 2002, I had another change in major, to the Business Education department. As of September, 2006 I am 3 courses short of graduation.

When I lived in Columbus, I attended Christ Community Church. It is an amazing church. Jay is the best Worship leader and Pastor Keith really has an amazing gift from God to speak His word and relate it to the people. When I began going there, we read the book The Purpose Driven Life. I highly recommend going through that program if you haven't done so already. It completely changed my life, and is a program you can repeat incessantly. I enjoy reading The Bible (The Message is my favorite!). I am a moderator of a Christian MSN Group called Read The Bible in a Year where you get to do just that.

On February 16, 2002 I married the most wonderful man in the world, David Holt (Dave). He has been so wonderful and I can't wait to grow old with him. We have 2 feline children that think they're human, Josie and Dinia. We also have 3 Bettas, 2 Cherry Barbs, 2 Glolite tetras, a Long-fin red minor tetra, an african dwarf frog, and a countless number of tiny snails.

In April of 2006, we moved to Mooresville, NC, otherwise known as "Race City, USA." It is the home of Nascar Technical Institute, where Dave goes to school. We are *huge* Nascar fans. I go for Kasey Kahne (in case you haven't noticed), but Dave prefers Carl Edwards or any driver under Roush Racing. I would do anything to meet Kasey... so Kasey, if you ever read this, email me! ;)

Nowadays there are quite a few things I am doing with my life. I am working on securing employment in our new hometown. I am starting a new business as a Passion Consultant. I am working on getting my web design business going. I recently launched an advice and support site called Counsel City. And last, but most certainly never least, I have found a new Church home at The Cove.

I love to read and write. I publish poetry through the National Library of Poetry. My favorite authors are Shakespeare, V.C. Andrews, and Stephen King. I also have a small press publications group called Quill and Ink Press from which I publish poems, short stories, editorial articles, photographs, sketches, and comics.

I love the Green Bay Packers, but don't watch sports much. I listen to any kind of music, mainly on Kiss 95.1 or 106.5 The End. My favorite bands are Bush, 3 Doors Down, and Shinedown, and Metallica. I was fortunate enough to see 3 Doors Down and Shinedown in concert November 2005 at the Columbus Civic Center and am dying to see them again. I was even more fortunate to have caught a Shinedown drumstick! I personally believe that the ultimate concert would include all 4 of these marvelous bands. I am, of course, a member of the Official Bush Fan Club. My favorite song is "When You Say Nothing at All" by Alison Krauss (oddly enough, considering it's country).

I watch lots of TV... usually on The WB, which happens to have merged with UPN to create a new television network called The CW. I watch/like Charmed, 7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, Smallville, Everwood, What I Like About You, Twins, Reba, Living With Fran, Dawson's Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Sabrina. My latest addiction is Without a Trace on TNT.

My favorite movies are Gone With The Wind, Pride and Prejudice, Grease, Pearl Harbour, Harry Potter, Cruel Intentions, The Devil's Advocate, Titanic, and 50 First Dates.
